Being happy isn’t about walking around with a big smile all the time; no one can sustain that for very long! True #innerhappy means that you embrace all parts of you, including stuff like sadness or anxiety. Depressed Cake Shop is leading a tasty revolution to encourage people to talk about depression and other mental health issues through “pop-up” bakeries, featuring gray/sad looking treats (with a hint of color to symbolize hope.) These bakeries are popping up  around the country, and proceeds support local mental health efforts.

TBT to our wonderful @depressedcakeshop in #Portland to benefit @babybluesconnection. Thank you @fernwoodcookie and all of the other bakers for your generosity and talent. #postpartumdepression has been in the news this week. Please know that new #moms often need more support than they might admit. Check in on your new mom friends. Let them know that it is ok not to be ok and that they can ask for help. And, if you are a new mom, please know #youarenotalone
